Bring It! is an American dance reality television series that debuted March 5, 2014, on Lifetime.^[1] On April 28, 2014, Lifetime announced an additional 10-episode renewal of Bring It!.^[2] Additional episodes returned on July 23, 2014.^[3] The second season premiered on January 23, 2015. New episodes aired on July 31, 2015

Announced November 13th, 2015, Bring It! is renewed for a 3rd season that premiered on January 1st, 2016.^[4]

Premise

Bring It! is set in Jackson, Mississippi and features Coach Dianna "Miss D" Williams and her Dollhouse Dance Factory, home of Miss D's Dancing Dolls troupe,^[5] which was founded in 2001. The troupe has over 15 Grand Champion titles and more than 100 trophies, and consists of children aged 10 to 17. The show also features the Baby Dancing Dolls, consisting of children under the age of 10.

The team competes in hip-hop majorette competitions,^[5] with their main focus being on the Stand Battle (a routine where two teams face each other and alternate "stands" (routines), which are called by the captain depending on what stand the other team performs). The team slogan (both the Dancing Dolls and the Baby Dancing Dolls) is "Dancing Dolls For Life" (popularly shortened to DD4L, featured on much of their gear).

Rival dance troupes featured on the show include: the Divas of Olive Branch (the Dolls main rival, due to the intense rivalry between Miss D and Divas coach Neva), the Prancing Tigerettes (from Memphis) and the Infamous Dancerettes (f/k/a Dynamic Diamond Dollz, also from Memphis), the Purple Diamonds (a cross-town Jackson rival), the YCDT Superstarz (from Miami) and new rival (from Tupelo, Mississippi) The Golden Prancerettes.

Similar to fellow Lifetime show Dance Moms, Bring It! features the moms of several of the dancers and their interactions (and occasional arguments) with Miss D. However, unlike Dance Moms (where the moms are in a room above the studio watching the practices), the moms in Bring It! are featured outside the studio and can only see what happens in practice through the studio windows. She has made a room for the parents to watch the girls through a tv screen. (Miss D does not allow parents inside the studio during practices, believing that the dancers need to have only one person – Miss D – leading them at those times.)

• Dianna "Miss D" Williams, owner of the Dollhouse Dance Factory and head choreographer and sponsor of the Dancing Dolls and Baby Dancing Dolls. Miss D is not one to mess with when it comes to competition. She pushes the girls because she wants them to succeed in life. Her secret weapon is her clipboard when she is about to do cuts in practice ("If you don't get it right, I'm gonna cut your ass"). Dianna is married to Robert and has a son, Cobe. She finds it difficult to balance time, as she not only has a family at home, but a family at the Dollhouse Dance Factory. In season 2, she plans to push her Dolls to an even higher limit in order to win big and prove they are the very best.
• Tina is the mother of Kayla, who is the assistant coach of the Dancing Dolls and excels at hip-hop and majorette. Kayla has been dancing since the ripe young age of 2, always moving and rocking to the music. She joined the Dancing Dolls in February 2008 and has since worked her way up to captain of the team ( Season 1- Season 2 ). Dance consumes her life and she wouldn’t want it any other way—Kayla somehow finds a way to incorporate dance into her daily activities, even when doing household chores. She hopes to getting her own studio one day and become just like Miss D . As of Season 2b episode 1 "A Whole New Doll Game", Alumni Captain Kayla was promoted to Assistant Director of the Dancing Dolls. Kayla continues to worry about how the Dancing Doll legacy will continue since her spot has been taken.
• Mimi is the mother of Camryn, who is Captain of The Dancing Dolls (Season 3) excels in majorette, lyrical, and jazz. Camryn has been dancing since the age of 6 and became part of the Dollhouse Dance Factory at age 10. She was voted Head Drill Master of the Dancing Dolls in July 2013. Camryn not only excels in dance, but in academics as well. As an honor roll student, she was recently awarded a spot at the Academic and Performing Arts Complex in the Dance Dept. in Jackson, MS.
• Selena is the mother of Sunjai, who is a former featuring dancer of the Dancing Dolls and excels at tap and lyrical. Sunjai, also known as "Cool Flame," has been a dancer since the age of 5. Dancing is her passion and she has been a part of the Dolls since 2012. Dancing runs in the family—she was inspired by her aunt at a young age and her dad is one of her biggest fans. She is an honors student who isn't afraid to speak her mind and act goofy. Just like her mom, Sunjai loves shopping, hanging out with friends, singing and of course, dancing. She plans to go to college and become a pediatrician when she grows up because of her love for children. Beginning in Season 2, Selena's twin daughters, Star and Sky (Sunjai's younger sisters) are also being featured.
• Rittany is the aunt (and mother figure) of Crystianna, who is the Head Co Captain of the dancing dolls and has been dancing since the age of 5 and joined the Dancing Dolls in 2006. She left for a short period of time to do cheerleading, but then returned to the Dolls in 2008. After spending three years on the Baby Dancing Dolls, she crossed over to the Dancing Dolls at the age of 9, making her the youngest member to ever join the team. Crystianna may be small, but her talent is big. She even hopes to become a famous dancer someday. Aside from dancing, her favorite hobbies include singing and playing volleyball.
• Dana is the mother of newbie Faith. Faith is a up and coming talented (Season 3) dancer. Faith specializes in many aspects of dance.
