Brickwall House

Brickwall House is a country house in Sedlescombe, East Sussex, England, now run as a hotel. The timber-framed Tudor house dates to 1599. In 1868 the north front was still unaltered.[1] It is evident that an earlier house existed as the manor was bought by a John White in 1492.[2] It is most associated with the Frewen family, including Accepted Frewen, Archbishop of York.[2] A fire nearly destroyed the house in 1951.[3]
