Brian Trowell

Brian Trowell (1931 – 2015) was a former Heather Professor of Music at the University of Oxford. He worked on wide range of topics but his work Elgar’s works was perhaps most noted. Prior to his post at Oxford he was the King Edward Professor at King's College London. He also served the Royal Musical Association as president from 1984 to 1989.[1][2]
