Brett Ponich (born February 22, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
Ponich was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 2nd round (48th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The Blues signed him to an entry level contract on March 30, 2010. When Ponich's contract expired following the 2013-14 season, the Blues declined to make a qualifying offer to him.[1] As a result, he became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2014.
On September 30, 2014, Ponich opted to continue in the AHL in signing a one-year contract with the Springfield Falcons.[2]
