Brent J. Crane (born July 2, 1974 in Nampa, Idaho)[2] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2006 representing District 13 in the A seat.[1]

Education

Crane graduated high school from Nampa Christian School and earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Boise State University.

Elections

In January of 2015, Brent Crane was the sole vote against adding sexual orientation and gender identity protections in the state's Human Rights Act. The House Ways and Means Committee, made up of Republican legislative leadership, voted 6-1 to bring the proposed legislation to a full hearing. Crane voted against the bill, saying he voted to protect marriage between one man and one woman. The bill does not address same-sex marriage but Crane says that the two issues are closely connected.[10]
