Break the News is the third studio album by the Swedish singer Darin. It was released on 22 November 2006 in Sweden. The album reached the top of the Swedish Album Charts. Four singles were released from the album in Sweden with an additional track charting from promotion. This is the first Darin album to be released internationally, being released in Germany on 28 September 2007 with an altered track listing.

History

In Sweden, the album was promoted with two official singles, "Perfect" and "Everything But the Girl". There were plans to physically release the third single, "Desire", but the single developed into a download only single in May 2007. In Germany, two physical singles were released; "Insanity" became the first German single being released. Darin did a short promotional tour in Sweden calling at 10 cities to promote the album, with small performances and signings from 25 November until 16 December 2006.[1] Also to promote the album, large billboard posters were placed around Swedish cities Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö.[2] The album was supported by the Pure Desire Tour in 2007, which called at various cities in Sweden including Stockholm. The German promotion for the album included performances on Popstars, where he sang "Desire", and a performance of "Insanity" on the German show The Dome.[3]
