Bravo Award
This article is about an award for young footballers. For the German magazine's award, see Bravo Otto. For the Latino music award, see ALMA Award. For other uses, see Bravo.
The Bravo Award is an annual award which is handed out by the Italian magazine Guerin Sportivo to the most outstanding young European footballer. The first winner of the award was Englishman Jimmy Case. Until 1992 only under-23 players participating in one of the three European club cups (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup) were eligible. Since 1992 any under-21 player from any European League is eligible.
The winners are chosen for the autumn-spring season, not the calendar year.
