Bo Prefecture (Guizhou)

Bozhou or Bo Prefecture (播州) was a zhou (prefecture) in imperial China, centering on modern Zunyi, Guizhou, China. It existed (intermittently) from 639 until 1121. After the Tang dynasty collapsed at the end of the 9th century, Bozhou's history is not well known as tribal people under tusi (chieftains) dominated the area until the Song dynasty re-established Bozhou in 1108.
