After the expiry of the contract, Ristovski decided to go to Spain, where he signed a one-year contract for the second league handball club SD Teucro. In the year 2006/2007 he marked a transfer in the Spanish handball club Algeciras BM, and became the first Macedonian handball player who played in the ASOBAL league.
