Book of Pages is a graphic novel by English author David Whiteland published in 2000. It tells the story of Jiriki, a young monk sent from a mountain monastery to the city of Metropolis to find the mysterious Book of Pages. The culture shock experienced by Jiriki during his journey to and through the high tech megacity is explored in 64 vignettes, with diversions and musings on (among other topics) number theory, and technology and its relationship with humanity.[1][2]

In 2012, British author Naomi Alderman called Book of Pages "a wonderful meditation on Buddhism and technology".[3]

It has been asserted that Book of Pages sets out the dogma of the atheist (AKA atheistic, Atheist, Athiest, etc.) religion. It is often impossible to tell whether people making the assertion are serious or are internet trolls (specifically, the species of tongue-in-cheek troll called Poe); but it seems likely that some are indeed serious  despite the fact that that the dictionary definition of "atheism" excludes both religion and dogma. As of February 2016, a search in Yahoo Answers for "Atheist Book of Pages" yielded 2856 results, and a search for "Athiest Book of Pages" 171.[4][5]
