Bokpoort CSP is a concentrated solar power (CSP) solar thermal power plant, located near Groblershoop in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. [1] It has a capacity of 50.0 megawatts (MW).[2] It covers an area of less than 300 hectares (741 acres).
The Bokpoort Plant has a full-load molten salt storage capacity of 1‚300MWh equivalent to around 9.3 hours.[3] The plant was completed in December 2015, after a construction period of 30 months.[4][5]
