Bo Nat Khann Mway
- In this Burmese name, Bo is an honorific.
Bo Nat Khann Mway (also known by his aliases as "General Saw Lah Pwe", "Na Kham Mwe", "Na Kam Mui", "Bo Moustache", "Saw Lar Bwe", "Mr. Moustache", and "Mr. Beard") is the current commander of the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army - Brigade 5 (DKBA-5), an insurgent group currently fighting government forces in Myanmar.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
In 2011, Bo Nat Khann Mway's brigade split from the other brigades in the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army, after he and his soldiers rejected the government's proposal for a "Border Guard Force".[8] On 21 August 2010, two of the original five brigades under his command, comprising of around 300 troops, integrated themselves into the newly formed "Border Guard Force".[9]
"[The Burmese regime does not] understand the language of diplomacy or political negotiations, but [only the language of] guns."
