John P. "Blackie" Whiteford (April 27, 1889 March 21, 1962) was an American film actor. He appeared in 275 films between 1928 and 1962. A career character actor,[1] Whiteford is best known for appearing in 28 films with The Three Stooges between 1936 and 1956.[2]

He was born in New York, New York and died in Hollywood, California.
