The University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Bitola (Macedonian: Универзитет „Св. Климент Охридски“ - Битола, Univerzitet „Sv. Kliment Ohridski“) is the second Macedonian state university located mainly in Bitola, with faculties in Prilep, Ohrid, Veles, Kichevo and Skopje. It was founded on 25 April 1979, but the name "St. Kliment Ohridski" was not given until late 1994. The number of enrolled students exceeds 15,000.

Faculty of Economics - Prilep

The Faculty of Economics - Prilep was the first institution of higher education in the city of Prilep, Macedonia. It was established in 1960 and is now part of University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Bitola.

Faculty development process

The establishment of the Faculty of Economics - Prilep in the education system of the Republic of Macedonia, the first stage of its development, began in 1960 with the establishment of the Specialised School of Accounting (by decision of the Executive Council of SRM on October 19, 1960). At this period, the initial efforts are made to profile the basis on which later the further development processes of this institution would be based on.
