Anglican Diocese of Assam

The Diocese of Assam was a diocese of the Church of England in North-East India.

The diocese was created from the Diocese of Calcutta in 1915.[1] Upon Indian independence in 1947, it became the Diocese of North India[2] in the Anglican Church of India, Pakistan, Burma and Ceylon, and it is now part of the united Church of North India.
