Bill Cash (baseball)
William Walker Cash [″Ready″] (February 21, 1919 – September 12, 2011) was a baseball player in the Negro Leagues from 1943 to 1950 for the Philadelphia Stars. He batted and threw right-handed.
Born in Round Oak, Georgia, Bill Cash was a catcher who spent one season in the Mexican League and played for two minor league teams, in the early 1950s. Eventually, he played at third base and outfield. In addition, he spent time in the Dominican, Mexican Pacific and Venezuelan winter leagues.
Cash died on September 12, 2011 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 92.
