Bierna [ˈbjɛrna] (German: Berna) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Sulików, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.[1]
Prior to 1945 it was part of the German Province of Silesia. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-east of Sulików, 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-east of Zgorzelec, and 135 kilometres (84 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
