Biecz [bjɛt͡ʂ] (German: Beitzsch; 1937-1945: Beitsch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Brody, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Brody, 28 km (17 mi) north-west of Żary, and 49 km (30 mi) west of Zielona Góra.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has a population of 252.
