Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri (English: Bhuvana is a question mark) is a 1977 Tamil-language Indian feature film directed by SP. Muthuraman, starring Sivakumar, Rajinikanth and Sumithra.
Plot
Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri is a gripping family and emotional drama starring Sivakumar, Sumithra and Rajinikanth in lead roles.
Summary
Rajini and Sivakumar are two good friends. While Sivakumar is a diplomatic person who believes in practical life, Rajini is a straightforward person who believes in honesty. Sivakumar is a womaniser who loves many women at the same time, while Rajini, his roommate falls in love with Jaya. Jaya dies after a while and Rajini tries to attempt suicide but Sivakumar saves him. Sumithra becomes the victim of Sivakumar and bears his child. Sivakumar gets married to a rich girl. Rajini marries Sumithra. The film is the conflict between Sivakumar and Rajini on values of life.
Soundtrack
Ilaiyaraaja scored the music for this film. The songs "Vizhiyilae Malarnthathu" and "Raaja Enbar Manthri Enbar" sung by S. P. Balasubramaniam are run away hits.[1]

Production
Panchu Arunachalam and SP Muthuraman initially wanted Rajini to play a small role in a film called "Avalukku Oru Aasai" but after meeting him duo found him to have "brightness" they decided to make him a solo hero in their project.[2]
This film had an interesting role swap as Sivakumar, the hero having a clean positive image doing the anti-hero role, while Rajinikanth, an established villain doing the role of a positive hero. This role swap helped both the actors in experimenting the roles. The success of the film paved way for Rajinikanth, the opportunity to do more hero oriented films.[3] The film was remade in Malayalam as Munnettam with Mammootty reprising Rajinikanth' s role and Ratheesh doing Sivakumar' s role. The film created a huge impact in Mammootty's career.
