Bherkund is a famous village and union council (an administrative subdivision) of Mansehra District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.[1] It is located in Mansehra Tehsil. Bherkund is located between Mansehra and the city of Oghi.

Bherkund is about 7km away from the city Mansehra on the Oghi road. It is on the bank of river Siren which falls into Indus river after 30 km from here.

Berkhund has different schools like The sun grammar school, Pakistan International Public School, Oxford School, Govt. High School Bherkund and many other private institutes. There is one Govt hospital and lacks the proper health facilitiesThere are Govt Primary, Middle and High Schools for boys and girls. Bherkund is the third big village of Mansehra city. Bherkund has different tribes like ,Swati, Tanooli, Syed, Gujar, Awan,Mughal etc. Bherkund is the land of agriculture. The neighbor villages are Khaki, Tarha, Sherpur, Hamsherian, Marhi, canate and Nokot,Hafeez Bandi.

There is a small canal made from the river Siren to irrigate the lands divided into upper and lower siren canals.bherkund is also linked with the other branch of river Siren which is made on left side and it is called as Ichar. A bridge was made on that branch of river in the Britishers rule. Actually this is the bridge which connects it to the mansehra city and the other villages like Marhi. Bherkhund is located in Pakhal (Lower Pakhal) valley also called Siran Valley.
