Bettadasanapura is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[1] It is located in the Bangalore South taluk.

The village got its name from a temple on a hill in the village. As told by the priest, this temple is more than 450 years old. Long ago, people in the surrounding villages established Thimmaraya Swamy in this place and started offering their prayers. This was more than 450 years ago and there are no records of these details. However, when Kempegowda started ruling Bangalore, one of his close associates was ruling this place and the surrounding areas. One day, lord Thimmaraya swamy himself appeared in his dreams asking him to renovate this place, as it was in a dilapidated state. That was when the ruler decided to renovate the temple. The family of the current priests here, have been offering poojas from almost the time the ruler renovated this place.

This place is located on a hill surrounded by rocks and a fort. Along with lord Thimmarayaswamy, Bhoodevi and Mahalakshmi are also placed here. You will also see a statue of Garuda in the courtyard. Apart from these, there is also a Kashi Vishwanath temple right beside. There is also a pond located atop the hill. You can have a beautiful view of Electronic City from the hill. This place is located on the way in between Electronic City and Bannerghatta.
