Berg is a village in the municipality of Sømna in Nordland county, Norway. The village lies about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of Vik, just south of the municipal border with Brønnøy. The village of Trælnes lies just north of Berg (in Brønnøy). The 0.55-square-kilometre (140-acre) village has a population (2013) of 545, including the 17 people in the 0.02-square-kilometre (4.9-acre) area of the village that crosses over the border into Brønnøy. The population density of the village area is 996 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,580/sq mi).[1] The village is home to some agricultural industries as well as a concrete factory.[3]
