Beneventum (Africa)

Beneventum is a former Ancient city and bishopric in Roman Africa and present Latin Catholic titular see.
Its presumed present location is at the ruins of Beniata, in modern Tunisia.
History
Beneventum was import enough in the Roman province of Africa proconsularis to become a suffragan of its capital Carthage's Metropolitan Archbishop, yet was to fade.
Titular see
The diocese was nominally restored in 1933 (Curiate Italian title Benevento, but not to be confused with the Italian city's residential see).
