Bendigo South East College (BSEC) is a secondary school in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.
==History==
The BSEC occupies a building originally known as the Bendigo Girls' School. That institution had been founded in 1916, originally located in the QuarryHill neighborhood of Bendigo but moving to the Flora Hill neighborhood in 1959.
In 1974, the school became co-educational, under the name Flora Hill High School, which was later renamed to Flora Hill Secondary College.
In 2008/2009 Flora Hill Secondary College and Golden Square Secondary College combined and was renamed Bendigo South East Secondary College.[1]
As of 2013, the new buildings have been completed. The last of the classrooms from 1959 were demolished in August 2011. Although the main building project has been completed, the hall is still under renovation for the new Athlete Development Program, which was established in 2014.[2]
The Athlete Development Program at BSE is a compete sports education and training program aimed to assist students in the pursuit of sporting and academic excellence.
The Athlete Development Program runs for the entire school year. Students are eligible for selection every year they attend Bendigo South East Secondary College.
Another specialist program being introduced in 2016 is the ‘Academy of Creative Arts’ (ACA).[3] The Bendigo South East College Academy of Creative Arts (ACA) nurtures the creativity, artistry and scholarship of students.
It educates students to achieve excellence and mastery as performers, creators and makers, explorers and responders, and scholars, enriching through the immersion in the studies of The Arts; Music, Dance, Drama, Media and Visual Arts.
Golden Square Secondary College was closed at the end of 2008, and was demolished as of late 2009, the site is currently vacant.

Ernie Fleming is the current principal at Bendigo South East College. Adam Fleming is the current manager of the Athlete Development Program. A full list of currently serving staff can be found on the college's website.
Uniform[5]
Bendigo South East College has four sets of uniform worn at different times of the year.
Boys: Boys may wear a royal blue polo shirt throughout the year, paired by either black pants or shorts. These are then accompanied by leather shoes complying with school policy.
Girls: Girls may wear a blue checked dress, polo shirt, shorts and pants throughout the year, but also have a winter uniform consisting of the school's polo shirt with a blue checked skirt and navy tights. Girls also must wear closed shoes complying with the school's policies.
Formal: A formal uniform is also available consisting of pants, a royal blue blazer, white shirt and a tie. This uniform is generally worn by the college's Student Representative Council or band.
P.E: A physical education uniform is also available, consisting of a polo shirt and basketball shorts for boys, and a polo shirt and shorts for girls.
