Behzad Davarpanah, (Persian: Behzād DāvarPanāh - بهزاد داورپناه; born February 24, 1992), better known by his stage name, Behzad Leito, is an Iranian Rapper and Producer. He was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to Dubai, UAE. Behzad joined Paydar in 2011, but in 2012 he decided to work as a solo artist. He had a few successful collaborations with Zedbazi.
Early life
Behzad Leito was born in Tehran, Iran in 1992. He became interested in Rap in his teenage years when his friends in school talked about new rap songs. He always wanted to play a role in rap music and succeed in hip-hop. Behzad moved to Dubai, UAE with his family when he was 16.[1]
Musical career
Early Years
When Leito moved to Dubai, he started downloading online rap beats and recording his voice with a low quality microphone. Everything was amateur and unprofessional, but Behzad got more engaged in music.[1]
2011-12: Paydar
In Dubai, Behzad met Erfan through a mutual friend, and they created a new group named "Paydar" with Sina Taham, Afra, Sarkesh, Sogand, Paya, and GDaal. They had a few successful collaborations.[1] He released his first song, "Kargardan" featuring Erfan in May, 2011 .[2] "Paydar 1" was another collaboration with 6 other Paydar members. Behzad Leito decided to work alone in 2012 because he thought he would have a brighter future, so he left Paydar.[1]
2012: Zedbazi
There was a family gathering which Leito attended with his family when he was still in Paydar. During that gathering, he met Sijal, Zedbazi member who Leito knew him through his songs. After that Behzad became friends with him and Alireza JJ.[1] His first collaboration was with Alireza JJ. JJ produced "Farda (Live Remix Tomorrow)" which was a new style for Behzad Leito, and he became successful.[3] He has a few other collaborations which became hits. His first song with Zedbazi members was "Saat Vayse". Then he decided to attend in Zedbazi's first studio album, Zakhar Nameh, and specifically in the song "Nakoni Bavar". "Nakoni Bavar" is one of the most famous songs of Zedbazi.[4] Also, "Fogholade", featuring Sijal and Sami Beigi, is one of the greatest hits of Leito with approximately five million plays on RadioJavan's website. Behzad's collaboration with Zedbazi made him more famous and successful.[5]
2013-14: Khakestari
In 2013, Behzad Leito announced his first studio album, Khakestari. On May 15, 2013, he released the first single of his album, "Naab" featuring Alireza JJ and Sijal. That song became a hit real quickly. Second single, "Sakht Migzare", was released on October 16, 2013, and the third single of this album, "Sargarmi", was released on March 17, 2014. Two weeks before the album, Leito released the fourth single of Khakestari, "Palang". "Palang" was a controversial song for the Iranian culture, but many people gained interest in it.[6] Finally after a long time, Behzad Leito's first studio album was released on October 10, 2014 on the label RadioJavan.[7] The producers of this albums included Behzad Leito himself, Amir A-Plus, Alireza JJ, AFX, and Dynatonic. The song "Palang" from this album has peaked at number fourteen on the top Hit Songs of 1393 on RadioJavan's website.[8] "Sargarmi" and "Doostam Hastan" from Khakestari are also in the top fifty. On the Top 100 of 2014 list on RadioJavan, Palang has peaked at twenty-seven.[9]
2015-present: Dadim Raft Toro and Bistose
On January 14, 2015, Leito released a new single featuring Sogand. The single track "Dadim Raft Toro" became a hit in short time. After three months this track reached three million plays on RadioJavan's website. On the top Hit Songs of 1393 On RadioJavan, this track hit number three.[8]
On his twenty-third Birthday, Leito announced a new album called Bistose. He said that he will be releasing this album in 2015's fall.[10] The first single of this album, "Bahatam Dasham" was released on June 12, 2015. The second single, "Khaak" featuring Sijal and Nassim, was released on August 27, 2015. The actual album was released on November 14, 2015 on RadioJavan's website, Leito's label. Bistose contains ten tracks, featuring artists such as Sepehr Khalse, Alireza JJ, Nassim, and Erfan. Most of these track are produced by Leito himself, but Alireza JJ, A-PLUS, Electronic Jay, and Khashayar SR have produced some parts of the album.
After the release of "Bistose", on November 26, 2015, Behzad released a music video for the first track on his album which is also called "Bistose". [11]
Musical Style
Behzad Leito's "style is influenced by American new school rapper Drake, and he has mentioned in interviews that he wants to produce songs in the same style." He wants to produce albums because he believes that singles have to be catchy and non-personal. Leito is also an R&B Singer and focuses on the chorus parts of his songs. He loves live performance and connecting with his fans.[1][12]

The single "Palang" from Khakestari has reached number fourteen on the top Hit Songs of 1393 on RadioJavan's website. Also, the single track "Dadim Raft Toro" has become number three on the same list.[8] The Music Video "Tehran Maserati (+3:30)" by Alireza JJ and Sijal featuring him hit number two on the Top 100 Videos of 2014.[9]
