Successful Teams

Beechwood Fc is probably best known for its success at the underage level of South Dublin Football. Most notably under the management of Birol Nadir who guided his side from U12s through to U18s, his management led to some of his players receiving trials for Arsenal Football Club. Nadir's teams were best known for 'Bringing the Physical'. The pinnacle of the teams success occurred in the memorable 2010/11 season. The team, under Nadir's charismatic leadership and suave footballing style achieved a power ranking of number one in the league. Despite this the team failed to win the league after Aksel brained a penalty in the dying embers of the game, which would have seen 'The Wood' leapfrog Kingswood in the table. It is rumoured among experts and Nadir as been quoted that Aksel had scored twenty out of twenty penalties in the garden the previous evening, however there is no definitive evidence of this.
