Bayırköy is a belde (town) in the central district (Bilecik) of Bilecik Province, Turkey at 40°19′N 30°01′E / 40.317°N 30.017°E. It is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Bilecik. The population of Bayırköy is 1942 [1] as of 2011. The town has recently been relocated in its present location after a landslide in its former location slightly at the west. The economy of the town depends on vegetable farming and sericulture. There are also some factoıries around the town.[2]
