Barrow Town F.C. are a football club based in Barrow upon Soar, near Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. They currently play in the East Midlands Counties League.
History
Barrow Town was formed in 1904 as Barrow Old Boys and upon reformation after the Second World War they joined the Leicestershire Senior League before joining the new East Midlands Counties Football League when it was formed in 2008.[1]
In 1981, they changed their name from Barrow Old Boys F.C. to their present name. In 1991 they won Division One and were promoted to the Premier Division, and were runners-up three times. They have reached the 2nd round of the FA Vase three times in their history, getting to that stage three times in six seasons.[2][3] In 2011–12 they reached the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, and hit the headlines when Sean Cato became the youngest ever goalscorer in the competition – aged 16 years and 25 days. He had scored in the club's preliminary round 7–2 away hammering of Rothwell Town.
