The band-tailed sierra finch (Phrygilus alaudinus) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae.
It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.
