Banat's University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine from Timișoara (Romanian: Universitatea de Științe Agricole și Medicină Veterinară a Banatului din Timișoara) is a university in Timișoara, Romania which specializes in life sciences. The former Agricultural Institute Timișoara was established at the Polytechnic University of Timișoara by Royal Decree in 1945. After it split off and 6 new faculties were established, it became an independent university with Paun Otiman as first rector in 1991. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Paul Pirsan, was elected as new Rector of the Banat's University on February 28, 2012.
