Balkot is a village and was previously Village Development Committee in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. However after 2015, it was merged with Sirutar VDC, Gundu VDC and Dadhikot VDC to form Anantalingeswor Municipality. Balkot currently form the ward no 3, 4, 5 of Anatalingeswor Municipality. [1] The 1991 Nepal census shows it had a population of 4,811 with 820 houses.[2]
