Badminton is one of the seven events of 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games to be staged in the Isle of Man. 5 events are scheduled to contest, 2 for both boys and girls and a mixed event. Each Commonwealth Games Association can send up to two athletes/pairs per event, for a maximum of four athletes per gender. The age of participating athletes is limited to the 14–18 years, means contingents born in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 or 1997 are only eligible to take part.[2]
