BBC Bangla (Bengali: বিবিসি বাংলা) is a foreign language service of the BBC World Service.
History
BBC Bangla was launched on October 11, 1941 with a 15-minute programme under BBC World Service. The programme attained an acceptance in Bangladesh and among the Bengali community in India.
Broadcasting
The programmes of BBC Bangla are broadcast on the FM broadcasting, mediumwave and shortwave all over the world.It is broadcast from the headquarters at Broadcasting House in London as well as from BBC Bureau in Dhaka & Kolkata. The headquarters used to be in Bush House. BBC Bangla moved to Broadcasting House in 2012.

BBC Bangla is broadcasting their programmes in three popular mediums; radio service, website & internet radio and video service.
Types of program
BBC Bangla mainly focuses on News based daily programme along with sports news. They also broadcast entertainment programmes, news analysis, and discussion over Daily Newspapers lead news. In addition they broadcast programmes to reply mail, email and opinion of listeners.

Bangladesh Songlap
BBC Bangladesh Songlap is live programme of BBC Bangla service broadcast in association with Bangladeshi satellite channel Channel i. They made the scope for the general people to ask their questions to concerned authority about important issues.
BBC Bangla a foreign language service of the BBC World Service is entertaining 13,000,000 Bengali speaking people around the world.
