Ayesha Gulalai Wazir (Pashto: عایشه ګلالۍ وزير; Urdu: عائشه گلالئ) is a Pakistani activist-politician and the Member of National Assembly representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on a reserved seat for women.[1]

Ayesha was born and raised in Bannu city. She is a PTI MNA on reserved seats for women from Khyber Paktunkhwa. Her family moved from Bannu to Peshawar when her father was transferred there. Prior to joining PTI, Ayesha has served as the Chief Coordinator of the Pakistan Peoples Party for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and was also briefly part of All Pakistan Muslim League. Her sister is Maria Turpakai who is a ranked woman’s squash player, who applied for asylum and moved to Canada after receiving “threats” from the “Taliban”. Her sister Maria Toorpakay plays professional squash in Toronto, Canada.[2] She holds a degree of Bachelors in International Relations, BS in Computer Science, and Masters in Comparative Religions.[3][4]
