Impact
At the conclusion of the games, the Australian Paralympic Committee created a plan to identify athletes to help improve Australia's medal count at the Winter Paralympic Games. A year-round training camp was set up at the Sydney Academy of Sports in Narrabeen, New South Wales. The goal is to improve physical conditioning for skiing athletes. Ron Finneran of WinterSport Australia did a major push to help insure the success of this program. He helped to bring Perisher Blue and Thredbo, two ski resorts, on board with them providing ski passes and places to train.[2]
