For the first time Australia officially sent a team to the Winter Paralympics. Two Australian male skiers competed at the 1980 Winter Paralympics but did not win any medals.[1][2][3] Ron Finneran acted as Chef de Mission, Team Manager, and Captain of the Australian team for the 1980 Winter Paralympics.[4]
