Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) is University located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established by the Assam Science and Technology University Act 2009 by the Assam Government.[1][2]
The university has signed a collaborative partnership agreement with Curtin University (previously known as Curtin University of Technology) in Australia to improve the higher education, mainly, in the field of technology and research.[3]
Courses
Bachelor courses are typically four years of study; master courses are typically two or three years. The university currently offers six degrees in total:
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
- Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)
- Master in Computer Applications (MCA)
- Master of Technology (MTech)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)

On its website, the university claims to have six affiliated colleges:[4]
- NETES Institute of Technology and Science Mirza
- Gyan Sagar Foundation Group of Institutions (Royal Group of Institutions), Betkuchi
- Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology
- Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS)
- Guwahati College of Architecture
Assam Engineering College and Jorhat Engineering College, both located in Assam, are also cooperating with Curtin University, and offer similar courses.[5]
