Hujjat al-Islam[1]Asghar Dirbaz (Persian: عسگر دیرباز, born 1959 in Mianeh, East Azerbaijan)[2] is an Iranian Shiite cleric, author and politician.[3] He is a member of present (4th)[4] Assembly of Experts from the West Azerbaijan electorate. Dirbaz won his membership with 1,208,599 votes[5] in the midterm election on 22 March 2013.[6] He is also the president of University of Qom.[7]
