The 4 arrondissements of the Haute-Savoie department are:
- Arrondissement of Annecy, (prefecture of the Haute-Savoie department: Annecy) with 93 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 204,880 in 1990, and was 229,039 in 1999, an increase of 11.79%.
- Arrondissement of Bonneville, (subprefecture: Bonneville) with 61 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 143,737 in 1990, and was 161,410 in 1999, an increase of 12.3%.
- Arrondissement of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, (subprefecture: Saint-Julien-en-Genevois) with 72 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 118,775 in 1990, and was 130,874 in 1999, an increase of 10.19%.
- Arrondissement of Thonon-les-Bains, (subprefecture: Thonon-les-Bains) with 68 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 100,894 in 1990, and was 110,356 in 1999, an increase of 9.38%.
