Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Arnold Christian Rüdiger Joseph Maria Freiherr von Biegeleben[a] (16 April 1883 – 11 October 1940) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the 6. Infanterie-Division. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Arnold Freiherr von Biegeleben died of a heart attack on 11 October 1940.
