Armori is a town and a tehsil in the Gadchiroli district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
It is located on the left banks of the Wainganga River, a tributary of the Pranahita River which meets the Godavari River.
Geography
Armori is located at 20°28′N 79°59′E / 20.46°N 79.98°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 199 metres (676 feet).
It is part of Desaiganj subdivision of Gadchiroli district along with the tehsils Desaiganj, Kurkheda and Korchi.
Education
Armori is major education hub in Gadchiroli district apart from Gadchiroli and Wadsa. Mahatma Gandhi Art, Science and Late Nasruddinbhai Panjwani Commerce College, Armori offers some unique courses among others. Facilities in the college are excellent and up-to-date. Campus is beautiful and calm. It runs post graduate courses along with some Ph. D. courses. There are other good colleges, schools and Kindergarten schools in the town. In Armori, there are 3 senior colleges, 6 junior colleges, 2 B.Ed. colleges and 2 D.Ed. colleges. Town is also just 20 km far from Government polytechnique college, Brahmpuri and around 40 km far from an Engineering college at Gadchiroli.
Health
Armori has big sub-district hospital at the heart of town. Being a government hospital, it is also very affordable. There are many good private practitioners in the town as well.

There are many nationalized and co-operative district banks in Armori (Bank of India, State Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra), There are few other co-operative banks as well. Bank of India (BOI)and Bank of Maharashtra have ATMs in the heart of town.

Town has uninterrupted supply of drinking water and power for most of the time in a year. Most of the roads are well managed and drains well built. The main road which runs through town remains busy even in night. court

Road
Armori is well connected to major industrial and commercial places by road. It is about 120 km from the city of Nagpur and about 36 km from district headquarters, Gadchiroli. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) runs buses connecting Gadchiroli to Nagpur via Armori, Brahmpuri, Nagbhid, Umrer with a frequency of about 45 min.

Nearest railway station is wadsa (Desaiganj) which is 18 km from Armori town. The other nearby railway stations are Brahmpuri (21 km), Nagpur (120 km).

Nearest airport is Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur which is about 130 km from the town of Armori.
Places to Visit
Armori is scenic beauty with rivers and hills around the town. Local people love to visit banks of river wainganga and river Gadhavi at dawn and dusk. The town has Ram Mandir (temple)and Sai Mandir (near old bus stop) as other major attractions. Local people also like to stroll towards Kosha Vikas Prakalp (Silk Worm Project) to breath in fresh air. School and college students of the town like to take a trip to nearby Godazhari Talav (Tourist spot) and Rampuri (Gaimukh)
Food
Fresh farm produce are sold in market. Fresh meat, fish and prawns found many buyers in the town.
Festivals
All major festivals are celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in town but Durga Pooja during Navratri and Ganesh Utsav in the town are real treat to the eyes. Both the festivals see huge inflow of people from far flunged areas. Even the students and professionals who are outside can not keep themselves away from town for these two festivals.
Industry
The main occupation of locals is farming and hence it has many rice processing mills in town and nearby area. It has Tussar Silk Worm centre as other major set-up. Self-employment generation is being inculcated to people through ITI centre of the town.
