Armodios Vovos

Armodios "Aris" C. Vovos (Greek: Αρμόδιος "Άρης" Βωβός; born October 21, 1964) is a Greek businessman in the field of construction (Babis Vovos Constructions), the family business recently filed bankruptcy as well as jail time for income tax evasion. He is also a known sportsman in the field of car rallies. He is also the former president of the Greek sports club Maroussi BC.

Rally driver

As a professional rally driver, Vovos has had many successes. He was the first finishing Greek driver in the Acropolis Rally in 1994. In 1995, he won the rally, with Kostas Stefanis as his co-driver. In 1994 win 3 points in World Rally Championship, and 2004 he won 1 point in the World Rally Championship, where he also competed in 2005, 2006, and 2007. He also won the Greek Rally Championship in 1995 with Lancia Delta, in 1997 with Subaru Impreza WRC, in 2000 with Toyota Corolla WRC of Toyota Hellas, in 2001 with Subaru Impreza WRC, and in 2009 and 2010 with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX (group N Class).

From 2002 to 2008, he participated in selected events, in Greece and abroad, along with "EL-EM" (Loris Meletopoulos) as his co-driver.

Personal

Vovos is married to Vicky Lagopoulou and they have one daughter, Maria-Pia. He is the son of the well-known Greek businessman Babis Vovos. He owns a yellow Porsche Carrera GT, one of the few in Greece.
