Arioch is a Duke of Hell in the service of Dispater, in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game.
Publication history
Arioch first appears in Ed Greenwood's article "The Nine Hells Part I" in Dragon #75 (1983).[1]
Arioch was briefly detailed in Fiendish Codex II: Tyrants of the Nine Hells (2006).[2]
Description
Arioch appears as a purple-skinned humanoid with diabolic features, except his head which resembles a lion-maned crocodile and his skin lightens to wine red from the shoulders up.
Relationships
Arioch is a vassal of Dispater, serving as Dispater's avenger. Dispater often sends Titivilus to bring orders to Arioch; Titivilus treats Arioch as his peer, and Arioch shows no fear of Titivilus.
