Apiñaqucha (Quechua apiña, maswa a flowering, partly eatable plant, qucha lake,[2][3] "maswa lake", hispanicized spelling Apiñaccocha) is a lake in Peru located in the Ayacucho Region, Lucanas Province, in the districts of Chipao and Puquio.[4] It is situated at a height of approximately 4,404 metres (14,449 ft). Apiñaqucha lies southeast of the lakes named Yawriwiri and Urqunqucha, south of Sawaqucha, west of another lake named Urqunqucha (slightly smaller than the lake mentioned before) and Islaqucha, and northwest of Pukaqucha.
