The Satin Stowaway or Banana Moth (Antichloris viridis) is a moth of the Arctiidae family. It is found in Colorado, Panama, Nicaragua and Venezuela.[1] It has also been observed a number of times in Great Britain, after being accidentally imported in fruit consignments.[2]
The larvae feed on Banana, and are considered a serious pest in some areas.[3]
