Anthony Laurence Clarke, OAM[1] (born 19 June 1961 in Adelaide) is an Australian judoka.[2]

Blind since 17 as a result of a car accident[2], he became a Paralympic Judo gold medallist in 1996, for which he received a Medal of the Order of Australia,[1] was world blind judo champion (in 1990 and 1998), and was an official torch bearer at the 2000 Summer Olympics.[3][4][5] In 2000, he received an Australian Sports Medal.[6]

He has represented Australia at five Summer Paralympics, from 1992 to 2008, and wrote an autobiographical motivational book titled Achieving the Impossible.[7]

He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder from 1996 to 2000 in judo.[8]
