Another Happy Day was screened at the 27th Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2011.[3] The film also screened at South by Southwest on March 18, 2011; at the Woodstock Film Festival on September 23; at the Mill Valley Film Festival on October 12; and was given a limited release on November 18.

The film grossed $8,464 in the domestic box office and $347,224 internationally for a worldwide total of $355,688.[2] It received mixed reviews from critics, holding 45% on Rotten Tomatoes[4] and 46/100 on Metacritic, indicating "mixed or average reviews".[5]
