Angella Emurwon is a Ugandan playwright. She won the 2012 International Playwriting Competition first prize in the English as a Second Language category for her play "Sunflowers Behind A Dirty Fence",[1][2][3] in the 23rd International Playwriting Competition held by BBC World Service and the British Council, in partnership with Commonwealth Writers.[4][5] Her play, "The Cow Needs A Wife",[6] came third in the 2010 BBC African Performance Play Writing Competition.[7]
