Angelici (sect)
For the Byzantine order of knights, see Angelici.
The Angelici were a heretical sect of the 3rd century. St. Augustine supposes them thus called from their yielding an extravagant worship of angels, and such as tended to idolatry. However, Epiphanius derives the name from their holding that the world was created by angels.
