Angel Dust (Christine) is a fictional mutant character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Her first appearance was in Morlocks, created by Geoff Johns and Shawn Martinbrough.

Fictional character biography

When the scared young mutant Angel Dust ran away to join the Chicago faction of the Morlocks, she left behind her frantic parents, who had no idea where she went or why she had left.[1]

After Angel Dust and the other Morlocks swore to help each other resolve one "aboveground" issue, she returned home to tell her parents the truth she thought they would turn her out of the family forever: she was a mutant. To Angel Dust´s surprise, her parents accepted her for who she was, but it was only after she had helped her compatriots defeat a Sentinel base that Angel Dust finally returned home for good.[2]

She was confirmed to have lost her powers after the events of the 2005 "Decimation" storyline.[3]

Powers and abilities

Angel Dust has the ability to increase her adrenaline, gaining superhuman strength for a short time. Her strength varies from being able to lift 800 pounds to being able to lift 25 tons, depending on her adrenaline levels. Her speed, agility and stamina are also enhanced. However, she can only use her powers for a short time before exhausting herself. When she uses her powers, dark lines appear on her face.[4]
